According to LinkedIn, about 40% of its 300 million users access the site on their smartphones. So, this is a step to attract users who access the site through smartphones and tablets. This new LinkedIn app helps users sort out the listings by enabling them to filter by title, location, company, industry and seniority level.
The recommendations for the matching jobs are provided to the users based on the saved searches and the jobs they have viewed. This app provides notifications even when the saved jobs are about to expire. It also gives notifications when a recruiter looks at the user’s application.
LinkedIn’s new and amazing app is created to make it easy for their users to search for a new job even while sitting at the desk of their current job. With the Job Search app, the users can easily filter the jobs based on seniority level, industry and location and save them to view in the future.
This app is befitting for people who prefer to know whether the recruiters are looking at their applications. Currently, this app is available only in the United States. However, LinkedIn has promised to provide its support in multiple languages worldwide.
