How this Extension Works !

This very simple small extension gives you an option where Google Keep yet to give which is sort the notes and to-do lists you have saved on your Google Keep Account by color. If you give an color label to an note it will be added automatically to the the yellow bar at the top. Click on any color label you want and the notes will be automatically filtered, which shows you only the notes with the color that  you choosed.

Setting up Category Tabs for Google Keep Extension

1. Install the Category Tabs for Google Keep™ extension from the Google Chrome Web Store.
2. Now open the Google Keep in your web browser.
3. You can see the color labels on the top.
4. Click a color label and the notes in Google Keep will be filtered it displays only the notes which has assigned to that color.
5. If you want to view all the notes, simply click the All label option.

Few limitation

The filters are contradictory, the developer of this extension made some few exceptions. you can only see the notes or sort them only in one color. which means you can view all the notes which are in the blue color category however, you cannot view notes from both the blue and green category.

Cons of Using this Extension

The Category Tabs for Google Keep extension has two disadvantages. The color category option doesn't support on the Chrome App and the Android or iOS app. Maybe in the next update Google can integrate this feature on Keep like they added the OCR feature recently. But Google Keep is getting better and better and it's an real Competitive for Evernote.

Conclusion

The extension also has one little bug. Google Keep has a responsive layout which means if you resize your window to small still you can see your notes it fit's according to the browsers size, but the extension doesn’t work nicely if you make the browser window smaller, the developer had come up with an good idea which keep doesn't have this feature yet .The extension is undoubtedly useful for the power users.
